Oh hello again lovelies! I did not get as much blogging done today as I was hoping…actually I don’t even remember what I did today. Weird. I’m sure my nails got painted at some point in the blur, but yeah. Does that happen to anyone else? You wake up and have an entire day to do nothing, and then the next thing you know it’s 11pm but you can’t recall actually accomplishing anything. I don’t like it haha. But, moving on because that had nothing to do with nails. It’s Thursday which means I have my fourth December inspired look to share for this Digit-al Dozen week. Peppermint pinwheel, anyone?
Here is what I used:
So, has anyone ever had a peppermint pinwheel cookie before? Because I’ve never actually had one… I just came across this recipe and thought they looked kind of cool, so I decided to paint them on my nails! The cookies don’t have glitter on them, but my nails do. Which means that I probably don’t even need the cookies, because my nails are sparkly and they aren’t. Do people make sparkly cookies? Because I definitely need them if they exist! ….and hashtag end rant.
- Start by applying two coats of Blaze.
- Add a layer of Light Leap-Year over top.
- Then using acrylic paint and a detail brush, paint the pinwheel on top.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a a coat of Glossy Glam.
And that’s a wrap! What do you guys think? This is truthfully, probably my least favorite look from the entire week. I needed a quick design that I could manage on both hands, and this was the only thing that I could think of. The swirls turned out pretty sloppy, but the base turned out lovely! Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading!
