Good evening lovelies! It’s time for another Digit-al Dozen birthday post! This time around we’re celebrating the December babies which are Cathy (More Nail Polish,) Kerry (Painted Fingertips) and Kristi (Let’s Begin Nails!) They picked a killer photo that was basically impossible to recreate, but I’m happy with what I have to share with you guys. So, let’s get to the holo!
Here is what I used:
Have you gone blind yet? These nails were seriously SO shiny and my camera was not happy haha. But, check out this link to see the original inspiration. The photo has such an amazing rainbow shift happening but, unfortunately, I could not figure out how to translate it on my nails. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know because I’d attempt this again!
- Start by applying three coats of Ghost Of Jupiter.
- Then add a layer of Fairy Godmother (press sample) over top.
- While the polish is still slightly tacky, press the nail foil (press sample) onto the nails.
- Once the base is done, use acrylic paint and a striping brush to add on the grid.
- Clean up.
So, while these nails might not be a great representation of their inspiration, I’m still pretty stoked on how these turned out! I mean look at all that holo glitter. Plus, the foils worked so much better this time around and didn’t act weird like they did during my initial review. I still need to practice more with them, but I’m happy with these results. Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
