Oh hello lovelies! Should I even apologize for this post going up so late? It keeps happening, but I’m hoping to get things back on track for next week. Things at work are a little odd right now (so much so that I left to go home tonight and then ended up having to go back a half hour later..,) but that’s not what this blog is about! Today is the second to last day of The Digit-al Dozen’s decades theme, and I’m going to be really sad to see this one go. This time around I’m showing off some 1950s inspired florals!
Here is what I used:
Some of the looks this week have been fairly detailed, so this more abstract look is a nice change of pace! Aka this was a lot less time consuming to paint haha. I’m still in love with the nail art from Monday, but I’m pretty sure I spent like two hours painting four nails…whoops. Anyways, this design was inspired by this fabric from, you guessed it, antiquefabric.com. 😛
- Start by applying two coats of J’ai Besoin de Toi.
- Then add a layer of The Sky Is Our Canvas (giveaway prize.)
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the pattern.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? Truthfully, this might be my least favorite look from the entire week but I’m still liking it! My line work with the green acrylic paint is a bit sloppy, but we’re our own worst critics and I’m not going to fret over it. Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts and let me know what you would have done for a 1950s inspired design!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to check out the other ladies down below!
