Hello lovelies! I almost started this post off with a happy Sunday, but then I remembered that Sundays are literally the worst. Anyone else agree? I still have quite a bit of work that I need to get finished before tomorrow, so I’m going to try and keep this post short. Keyword: try. Things always end up getting a bit rambl-y over here. But, moving on to the polish. Today’s post is all about snowflakes, so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
I’m honestly still not ready to start wearing holiday manicures haha. There will be a few coming your way this week, but man, it was definitely a struggle to paint them. For now, we will stick with some brighter, non-traditional colors because they make me smile! Plus, I still have a bunch of nail mail from last month sitting on my desk and my Emily de Molly beauties were calling my name. Isn’t Open Season so cool?
- Start by applying two (or three?) coats of Open Season.
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on a little bit of Eve.
- Apply a layer of a matte topcoat to smooth the glitters.
- Once that is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the snowflakes.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
And there we have it! What do you guys think? Would you consider rocking some crazy colored, winter nails for this holiday or will you stick with a more traditional look? I’m hoping to have a mix of the two on the blog over the next month, so everyone can find something that they like! If you have any suggestions for things that you would like to see, make sure to let me know (:
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! You are the best!
