Hello lovelies! I said I would be back to blogging last week, and then only ended up posting once…whoops. The Thanksgiving holiday threw me off my game a bit, but I’m back this week with more focus and motivation! I do have quite a few back posts for challenges that I would love to get up, so I can be posting alongside everyone in the group again. Hopefully you guys won’t mind 😀 Today’s nails are a perfect example of this, as these fall foliage nails should have been posted almost two weeks ago. Eek! Let’s get to the polish!
Here is what I used:
There have already been some “traditional” fall nails posted on the blog over the past couple of months, so I wanted to attempt a different type of design for this look. Luckily, I came across this pattern by Rachel Levit Ruiz which worked out perfectly! The print shows the silhouette of various foliage, but still manages to come off very fall-like.
- Start by applying your base polishes (I applied three coats of Amas Veritas and two of Autumn Stars.)
- Then using acrylic paint and detail brush, add on the nature pattern.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Wax That…
This post is exciting for me, because I get to show you guys a new-to-me indie! Anchor & Heart Lacquer is another brand that I’ve been eyeing for quite some time. The brand’s logo/label (it is a beautiful design) is what initially caught my eye. But, her polishes are gorgeous too! If you guys have any suggestions of what polishes I should order from her next, let me know. Also, well you’re at it, why not leave me your thoughts on this look? Foliage and nature patterns (basically, I’m saying florals….) are one of my top favorite things to paint. So, this design was a total winner for me!
Thank you guys so much for reading! I hope you are all having a lovely day 😀
