Hello lovelies! How has everyone’s Monday been? Last week was rough, but this one is already shaping up to be better and I’m stoked about it! I was planning on posting yesterday, but spent most of the day hanging out with a friend so I’m a little behind on playing challenge catch-up. If that’s even possible? Can you be behind on playing catch-up which you’re only doing because you fell behind on doing something in the first place? But, we’re done with that because I’m confusing myself. I have my pattern nails to share with you guys, so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
I may have stretched the definition of a “pattern” here without realizing it. I’ve wanted to wear Windy City since I got back from Polish Con, so I decided to put it on without having a plan. This print from Dashwood Studios seemed like a great fit for the polish, so I went for it!
- Start by applying two (or three) coats of Windy City.
- Add a layer of Polar Night over top.
- Paint the little mushrooms on with acrylic paint and a detail brush.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
This isn’t a true patterned nail art look, but I loved them! Windy City is a gorgeous polish and I’m so happy to have it in my collection! I’ll have to swatch it soon, because it’s stunning. The pops of color from the glitter in Polar Nights was a really nice added touch too! The little mushrooms were easy to paint as well, so this was a pretty quick look to accomplish. I would love to hear what you guys think though. Leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
