Hello lovelies! Look at me, disappearing again for a few days and then sneaking back in with some late night posts 😛 Whoops haha. I should probably just warn you guys now that my posting schedule is probably going to be a little erratic (oh, big people words!) until about mid-November. There’s a lot going on right now with work and other commitments, but I’m going to try my hardest to keep posting because I’d hate to have to take another blogging break this year. Anyways, let’s get to some artwork inspired nails!
Here is what I used:
I’ve always done an abstract look for this day of the challenge, and this year was no different. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Right? I think that’s how it works? Moving on, this time around I was inspired by this painting created by Julia Marcum!
- Start by applying three coats of Over Sized Sweater.
- Once that’s dry, move on to the art. This look was achieved by dipping my detail brush into some acetone, then into one of the other polishes and randomly brushing the color on.
- Repeat this with the other polishes until you reach your desired look.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
Abstract nail art is something that I don’t do enough of. It really is a time effective way of creating something interesting! But as much as I love this look, I had the worst urge to paint a pattern over this haha. I seriously have a pattern problem, but it’s cool. I like it 😛 But, let me know what you guys think! I’d love to hear your thoughts on abstract nail art. Are you a fan or no?
