Hello lovelies! It’s been a week since my last post….dang. I didn’t plan on taking a break from blogging, but things happen and I’m back now. I have quite a backlog of posts to share with you guys, but with Thanksgiving being at the end of the week I’m not sure when I’ll get everything posted. But no worries! I do have nails to share with you guys, and I hope you’re excited to what I have in store 😛 Also, there’s a lot of “I’s” in this introduction which is probably super annoying. But, moving on! I (did it again) still have some contrast looks to share with you guys for last week’s The Digit-al Dozen theme. This one features a gorgeous polish from Tonic Nail Polish, so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
You know, I really wasn’t digging this color contrast theme but this look might be the one that changes my perspective on it. Or maybe it’s just because of how the base turned out…Tonic Nail Polish is quickly becoming one of my favorite polish brands (I’ve seriously placed like four separate orders over the past two months since Polish Con, and I’m only missing like five of her shades…) But all of the polishes are so complex and stunning! I love how all I had to do was dab on a small amount of two other polishes, and almost instantly had galaxy nails.
- Start by applying three coats of Angelfish.
- Then using a fluffy brush dipped into a little bit of acetone, dab on Isa and Pinta.
- Use a striping brush and acrylic paint to add on the yellow grid.
- Go back in with a dotting tool to add some small spots.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? I’m a sucker for gridded nail art, so I love these! The yellow lines work really well against the base, and they play nicely with the flakies in Angelfish. Make sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know if you have tried a Tonic polish!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! You guys are seriously the best!
