Hello lovelies! How is everyone’s weekend treating them so far? I went to a haunted hayride/house last night with some friends which was super fun (even though I laughed through the entire thing haha.) But today has been spent doing work and dealing with emails, so not so awesome. Anyways, I’m back with another post for the 31 Day Challenge. Today’s look was inspired by a tutorial, so let’s get to it!
Here’s what I used:
Can you guess whose tutorial I followed? Maybe? I don’t know if that’s even possible, but it was this Lucy’s Stash one! Lucie’s nails are always so beautiful, and I’m in constant awe of her nail art skills. Her photos are so freaking stunning too, I just can’t even haha. She has a ton of different kinds of tutorials on her blog, so make sure to check her out for some more cool ideas!
- Start with three coats of Green Light.
- Apply a layer of Asteroid Turf over top.
- Then using a striping brush and white acrylic paint, add some diagonal lines across your nails.
- Then go back in with the detail brush and paint to add on the circle outlines.
- Fill in the gaps accordingly.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
And there we have it! This is such a cool pattern and I’m happy that I tried it out, but I was a little bummed about the way these came out. And yes, I’m totally aware that doesn’t make much sense. But, I loved the base I created and I guess I was upset about how much of it got covered? Or it could have been the green and white color combination that wasn’t working for me. A lot of people at work liked these though! I’ll have to try this design again with different colors in the future, because it’s a neat look. But, I want to know what you guys think! Leave me a comment down below!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading!
