Oh hello, again! I mentioned in my post earlier that it’s time for another Digit-al Dozen week, so here I am with my first post. This month is super exciting too, because we recently added some new members! Say hello to Olivia Jade Nails, Snacks On Rotation, Painted Fingertips, Uma’s Nail Art, ProcrastiNails, Manicured Canvas, Let’s Begin Nails, Fancy Side Nails, 25 Sweetpeas and Manis & Makeovers! Also, if I forgot anyone, I am so sorry that I’m an asshole haha. Anywho. My first look is kind of a fail, because it turned out so subtle but let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
See what I mean about subtle? You could see the design in person, but it got totally washed out in my photographs. My camera has a burning hatred for red nail polish, so anytime I use it the photos come out horrible. I was hoping that the matte topcoat would help, but clearly I was wrong. Anyways, the inspiration for this look came from this print from Luli Sanchez (I would link her website, but it kept trying to get me to download some weird files so that’s no bueno.)
- Start by applying two coats of Cross My Hearts.
- Add a layer of Neely.
- Then using a detail brush and black acrylic paint, add on the pattern.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Wax That…
So, there we have it! We’re not off to a great start this week, but I’m currently working on my third manicure for this theme so maybe they’ll get better haha. And yes, I totally waited to the last minute as usual. Life happens. It’s cool. Anyways, what do you guys think of this look? Too subtle or just vampy enough?
