Hello lovelies!

We’re starting the week off a little late here at PTN…whoops! At least I have a fun post for you guys! I recently was able to try out a new-to-me indie brand called, Dam Nail Polish! The creator specializes in thermal polishes and will soon be releasing her Summer Sunset Series (this Friday!!) So, I’m going to keep the chatting to a minimum and let you guys check out the polishes!

*First photo of each polish shows the polish in its warm state, the second photo is the cold state, and the third is a transition shot.

**Edit: I totally misspelled the brand name in my little feature graphic, so please ignore that! I’ll fix it when I get home from work.

My thoughts: I think we all know (at least if you’ve been reading the blog for a bit) that pink is not a color that I really ever gravitate towards, but I do think that this one is nice! I haven’t had much experience with swatching or even wearing thermal polishes, but this was neat because it was kind of like having a super, soft work safe color when it was warm and then a brighter, more fun color when cold (expect usually I’m cold when I’m at work and bars have a tendency to get warm, so the colors wouldn’t actually work that way but you guys get where I was going with that….hopefully?) Anywho! This polish will definitely make any pink lovers out there super happy!

My thoughts: When I first saw these polishes in the bottle I was certain that this one was going to be my least favorite of the group, but once I got this one on and realized that the orange color is the same color as mac-n-cheese (you know the really processed kind that you eat in college, because it’s the only thing you can afford other than ramen) and totally changed my outlook on it! The orange might not play super well with my skin tone but it’s a unique color (at least in my collection,) and I’m actually really digging the cold color as well. I think this one will be fun for playing with in nail art!

My thoughts: I will admit that I was a little bummed to see two pink polishes in one collection, but this one leans more on the fuchsia-y-side so I’m willing to look past it. Also, check out that purple color?! I don’t think I have any other purple that is as dusty as that, so I’m stoked about it! I actually ended up wear testing this one for about a week and it was super funny to watch my coworkers reactions to the changing colors haha.

My thoughts: This is by far my favorite from the collection! I mean, it’s blue (when cold,) come on…I have to love it. Both colors in this polish are gorgeous, and I’m loving the dusty quality of this. If you can only pick up one from this collection, this is definitely the one that you need!

I have to say that my first experience with Dam Nail Polish was an overall good one! Some of the colors in the collection aren’t my favorite, but some of you guys out there are going to love these. The formula was easy to work with and I was really impressed with how quickly these dried! I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes on this brand. The Summer Sunset Series is set to launch this upcoming Friday (9/2,) but you can pre-order the entire set right now! If you order now, you can get the entire set for only $32.50 (plus shipping) but the prices will go up once the pre-order window is over. I’ll have a nail art post up on Friday to remind you guys of the launch, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for that.
