Hello lovelies! This post is coming to you guys at my old posting time (11am EST) and I’m so excited about it! You guys probably don’t care, but it’s so relieving to not have a ton of backlog posts needing to be thrown up to meet “deadlines.” Plus, all my photos for this week are edited, I have all of my Digit-al Dozen looks painted for next week and I’m feeling so much happier about blogging. Don’t screw this up 2017! Anyways, the Twinsie Tuesday group is back posting together and we are kicking the year off by sharing our Cinderella hands. Let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
So, yeah, there’s a lot to take in with this post haha. Not going to lie, I almost skipped out on this theme because of how sad the nails on my Cinderella hand look. This is the hand that does all of the work when it comes to painting nail art (actually pretty much everything,) and it shows. I try to keep my nails on both hands at the same length, but these ones just break constantly. My index finger is a straight up asshole too since it refuses to grow past the tip of my finger without breaking and it’s oddly missing half of the cuticle. But that’s enough complaining! This pattern was inspired by this print from Birambi.
- Start by applying two coats of Slitherin’.
- While that’s drying, paint liquid latex all around your nails.
- Using the smoosh technique, add on Hunter and Sage.
- Peel off the latex / clean up.
- Then using acrylic paint and a detail brush, add on the little lines.
- Clean up again if necessary.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
And that’s a wrap. As much as I don’t like the nails on this hand, I am pretty happy with how the nail art turned out! Taking photos of this look was actually harder than doing the nail art itself haha. My camera is really heavy and built for right handed people, so this was definitely a struggle. I may or may not have thrown my back out getting these photos, but I’m giving myself a comic sans “you tried” sticker for the effort 😛 Let me know what you guys think!
Thank you guys so much for reading! I’ll see you back here tomorrow for some more nail art!
