Good morning lovelies! Hopefully your Sunday is off to a great start. I’ll be spending most of today working on blog stuff, and I’m honestly so excited! This is the first weekend in a while where I haven’t had much to do and didn’t have to bring work home with me, so I’m taking full advantage of the free time. So many Christmas nails are going to get painted today haha. Anyways, let’s start off the week with some holiday ornaments!
Here is what I used:
I am almost ninety-nine precent positive that this is a design that I attempt every single holiday, and I think this year’s look might be my favorite yet! The ornaments are simple because they were inspired by these felt ones from RikRak Creations. Aren’t they so cute!? If my Christmas tree wasn’t already decked out from top to bottom with dinosaur toys, I would have totally made some of those for it instead.
- Start by applying two coats of Helix Nebula.
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on a little bit of Blizzard.
- Once the base is dry, paint on the basic shapes of the ornaments with white acrylic paint and a detail brush.
- Go back over the white with different colored paints for the patterns.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
And there we have it! I’m really happy with how these turned out overall! But, can we stop and appreciate Helix Nebula? The minute I saw these polishes from Different Dimension, I knew I needed them. The glitters are so insanely cool looking! I picked up three of the five, but now I’m seriously regretting skipping out on the other two. Might just have to place another order after the holidays 😛 Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts. I love to read them!
Thank you guys so much for reading! Make sure to check back later for some more nail art and rambling!
