Hello lovelies! It’s Wednesday, which means that we’re halfway through the work week woo! But moving on to the nails. I’ve decided to join in on another challenge! Yes, you read that right. Another one. Six challenges is fine haha. Anyways, my first look is all about fireworks and flowers. So, let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
Now, I’m pretty sure the point of this challenge is to used untried polishes but I’ve decided to expand the “meaning” of untried for me. If you follow me on Instagram (which if you don’t, you should! Check it out here.) you might know that I’ve been working on a new polish organization/storage project where I paint cabochons and glue them to the tops of my polish bottles. Shout out to Kelsie’s Nail Files for the idea! I started the project out super motivated, but now being four weeks into it I’m kind of over it haha. I love how the bottles look and it makes finding things easier, but it’s so tedious. So for this challenge, I’m going to try to use only true untrieds or polishes that don’t have a cabochon on them because that means I haven’t worn them in a while!
- Start by applying three coats of Crystalline.
- Then add a layer of Sapphire Attire.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint to add on the fireworks.
- Add a dot of Fiery in the middle of each one.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
Dang, that last paragraph got really rambl-y haha. But, yeah, here are my glittery, firework nails! The fireworks turned out a bit more flower-y than I was planning on, but I’m still digging this look. It’s always nice to use older polishes too, because it’s kind of like shopping your own collection. Like Crystalline! It’s an incredibly, stunning polish but I know I don’t wear it enough. Anyways, make sure to leave me your thoughts down below and let me know what you do to keep your untried polishes organized!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading!
