Hello lovelies and happy Monday? Today *most likely* marks the beginning of madness at work, so it should be a good one haha. But we only have three more weeks, and then things should be relatively quiet until next year! I’m seriously so stoked. But, that’s not why you’re here so moving on. I’m back with some more swatches for Sally Hansen’s Color Of The Moment campaign, so let’s get to it!

Hello lovelies! Wow, it’s been a while since my last post. Sorry! I was having a bit of an off week last week, so blogging had to take a back seat. But, I’m working to get things back on track and I’m excited to get this week started with a gorgeous polish from Sweet & Sour Lacquer. So, let’s get to it!

swatch, nails, nail polish, indie polish, sweet & sour lacquer, polish those nails, june 2017, turquoise, shimmer

Name: June 2017

Description: Blue/turquoise base filled with gold, holo glitter and a bunch of shimmery goodness.

Release Information: 2017 June Monthly Exclusive

Number of Coats: Three coats.

Topcoat: One coat of Tonic’s Topper.

Formula: Slightly sheer and jelly-like on the first coat, but it builds to opacity easily.

Dry Time: About ten to fifteen minutes for each layer.

Staining: None.

Wear Time: I did have some chips after the first day, but I’m going to blame that on the fact that I had been packing and moving things while wearing this.

My thoughts: Wow, guys. I’m so stoked that I get to share this with you all, because I’m really, really, really liking this polish! Turquoise and blue are my favorite colors for polish, so I’m digging that this one is tiptoeing back and forth across that line. Plus, I love the contrast of the gold glitter against the cool base and shimmer. Even my mom kept commenting on how much she liked this. If you love turquoise-y, blue polishes, do not miss this one!

Now, it’s time for some nail art!

Is anyone else been super into black and white nail art lately? I don’t know what is up with me, but it’s all I want to paint at the moment. So, that’s what I did here haha! The squiggles were inspired by this work by Sarah Illenberger.

Good afternoon slash night, lovelies! We’re getting a late start this week here at Polish Those Nails, but I only have four posts to share with you guys this week so it’s totally fine. Also, yes you read that right. ONLY four.  Usually I’m throwing anywhere between 5 to 10 at you guys since I’m always behind, but I finally got it together haha. Moving on though, I’m back today with some more Different Dimension swatches. So, onto the sparkles!

My thoughts: Wow. Guys, I don’t even know what to say about these polishes. Iridescent glitter has a hold on my heart at the moment, so that coupled with the holo micro flakes. Dang. This polish is stunning and has an awesome formula to match, I’m in love haha!

My thoughts: Again. I have no words for these polishes! Different Dimension killed it with this collection, and I’m probably going to have to pick up the two that I’m missing. Helix Nebula is probably my favorite of the group though, and that’s only because blues and teals are my favorites haha!

Now, let’s get to the nail art!

butterfly nebula, purple, nails, nail polish, indie polish, different dimension, polish those nails, glitter jelly, nail art, pattern

Both of these polishes are just so gorgeous, that I had such a hard time trying to figure out what to paint on top. It feels so wrong covering up any of those beautiful glitters haha. Eventually, I settled on one of these fun patterns created by the design studio, Caserne for the Village Cafe.

  1. Start by applying three coats of Butterfly Nebula.
  2. Once that’s dry, use a detail brush and acrylic paint to add on the pattern. I started by doing the white details first and then the blue.
  3. Clean up.
  4. Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.

What would you guys have painted over these polishes? Because, again, I seriously struggled so badly when trying to come up with something. Luckily, I came across these tiles from Jason Messinger. The designs were perfect for adding a little pizzaz without covering up too much of that gorgeous glitter!

My thoughts: I’m always down for a good holo, glitter topper, so this one is absolutely lovely! The mix of white and holo glitters is on point and there is no need to fish in the bottle. So, if you don’t have this already, you need to go order it now. How can you beat that $5 price tag?!

My thoughts: This was the polish that led to my last purchase from this brand and man, it is a stunner! Iridescent and holo glitters all in one polish? Sign me up! I seriously wish I could bathe in this, because it’s absolute perfection. You also can’t beat the formula on Different Dimension glitters either! This one required absolutely no fishing and built up to opacity quickly.

Now, it’s time for some nail art!

Can we just take a second to acknowledge this color combination happening here? I never would have thought to pair mustard yellow with teal, but I’m loving this! The Minakani Plus inspired pattern did cover up a good amount of the glitter, but I love how the little holo bits peek out here and there.

  1. Start by applying two coats of Cecelia.
  2. Then add a layer of Blizzard on top.
  3. Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the pattern.

I had such a hard time coming up with a nail art idea for this one! The sparkles are so beautiful, that it pained me to cover it up. So, in the end I decided on a super subtle, distressed watermarble.

Hello lovelies and happy Monday! So, about my whole plan about getting back into blogging last week? Yeah, as you can tell, that didn’t happen. But, I’m working to get myself back into a routine this week, so hopefully it sticks this time. Anyways, I’m back today to share some more Different Dimension swatches with you guys! So, let’s get to the polish!

swatch, heaven from hell, silver, nails, nail polish, indie polish, different dimension, polish those nails, glitter

Name: Heaven From Hell

Description: Light blue (almost silvery) holo polish with red (or copper) looking glitter and shimmer.

Release Information:  2017 Road to Polish Con exclusive.

Number of Coats: Two coats.

Topcoat: One coat of Rica’s Glossy Glam.

Formula: This feels slightly on the thicker side, but it applies beautifully and builds to opacity easily.

Dry Time: About ten to fifteen minutes.

Staining: None.

Wear Time: N/A (only worn long enough to swatch.)

swatch, heaven from hell, silver, nails, nail polish, indie polish, different dimension, polish those nails, glitter

My thoughts: When I first saw this polish in the bottle, I’ll admit that I wasn’t really all that impressed but wow. This beauty is a stunner on the nails! It’s definitely more subdued compared to the other glitter in this post, but it’s still gorgeous. The little copper bits play so well against the blue and silver tones.

Description: Silver holographic glitter with some light green and aqua bits thrown in.

Release Information:  2016 Pretty Nauti Collection.

Number of Coats: Three coats.

Topcoat: One coat of Rica’s Glossy Glam.

Formula: This is definitely on the thicker side because of all the glitter, but that helps it build up to full opacity easily.

Dry Time: About ten to fifteen minutes

Staining: None.

Wear Time: N/A (only worn long enough to swatch.)

holo, silver, pier pressure, nails, nail polish, indie polish, different dimension, polish those nails, glitter

My thoughts: I’ve already talked about this before in my first Different Dimension review, but there is just something magical about her glitters! They always look so shiny and they sparkle so much. Pier Pressure is no expection to that! I especially love the added aqua and green bits.

Now, onto some the nail art!

nail art, pattern, heaven from hell, silver, nails, nail polish, indie polish, different dimension, polish those nails, glitterWhen coming up with nail art for Heaven From Hell, I wanted to keep it subtle to match the softness of the polish. These patterns from Free Goodies For Designers were the perfect inspiration!

  1. Start by applying two coats of Heaven From Hell.
  2. Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the pattern.

Do you know what the worst part about wearing a beautiful glitter polish is? Trying to figure out what art to paint over top of it! I never want to cover up too much of the base, because that means covering up all the sparkles but I also can’t stand wearing just straight up polish. So, this is what I came up with! What is it? I don’t really know haha.

  1. Start by applying three coats of Pier Pressure.
  2. Then, add a layer of Glossy Glam to help smooth the glitter.

Here are some bottle macros:

Okay, so I have some good news and some bad news. Good news first, Pier Pressure is currently available in the Different Dimension shop (and retails for $10 a bottle.) Now for the bad news, Heaven From Hell is not because it was a limited edition release leading up to Polish Con. Now, I’ve heard rumors that some makers may have had some over-pour bottles that they might be selling, but I’m not sure if Different Dimension was one of them. So, I suggest checking out her social media to find out:
