Oh hello again, lovelies! I have a little backlog of posts saved up, so expect to see some double posting this week. A couple of weeks back, the Twinsie Tuesday group tackled cartoon inspired nails and since I painted the nails, I thought it would be a good idea to share them now. Can you guys figure out what cartoon I used as inspiration?
Here is what I used:
I’m pretty sure most of you guys know what cartoon I’m referencing with these nails, but for those of you who don’t. It’s Scooby-Doo! More specifically the Mystery Machine. I was struggling to come up with an idea for this theme, but as always, florals came to my rescue! Told you that floral manicures are easily the best thing on the planet 😛
- Start by applying two (or three) coats of Grass Is Lime Greener.
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on Wait N’ Sea.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the flowers.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
So, what do you guys think? These nails made me so happy while wearing them! The colors are so cheerful, which was perfect for a slow week in the office. Plus, I can’t get over how much I’m liking Grass Is Lime Greener at the moment. I always thought it gave me lobster hands, but the brightness won me over so I don’t even care. Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below letting me know what you think! Also, what would you have done for cartoon inspired nails? I’m curious!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading as always (you guys are best<3) Make sure to check out the inLinkz below and to stop by here tomorrow for even more nail art!
