Good evening lovelies! I hope you all are having a lovely week so far. Can you believe that we are only one day away from the weekend? This week has felt like it’s been dragging and I’m looking forward to some down time. Anyways, nail polish. Yesterday, we focused on sparkly nails to get us through the middle of the week. Now, it’s time for some bright nails to finish the work week out!
Here’s what I used:
Dang, it’s been almost three months since I last wore neons. I’m usually not a firm believer in sticking to seasonally appropriate nail art, but it’s still been a while since I’ve rocked some bright nails. Anyways! These distressed nails were inspired by this print by Marcello Velho! The original print is beautiful with the blue and white together, but I’m loving how it looks done with bright polish!
- Start by applying three coats of Sun Worshiper.
- Then add a layer of 221B on top.
- Once the base is dry, use the distressed technique to add on Purple Panic.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Shine Xcel.
I used to wear bright, bold polish all the time when I first started the blog. But, my tastes have changed and now I gravitate either towards dark colors or neutrals depending on my mood. So, these nails were a super fun change of pace! A bunch of people complimented my nails when I wore these, and it was probably because they could seen from a mile away haha. The mix of the darker, more subdue glitter against the neon was my favorite part. But, as always, I want to know what you guys think! Leave me a comment down below with your thoughts.
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Check back later for some more nail art<3
