Happy Sunday lovelies! Hopefully your weekend has been treating you well. I feel like they just keep getting shorter and shorter, and it’s such a bummer. Or maybe I’m just feeling that way since I spent all day yesterday in bed with a migraine, it was such a waste of a day. But moving on! I have a bunch of nail art to squeeze in before January is over in three days (how the heck are we already a month into 2017?!) Anyways, this post is all about flakies and a swirl. Let’s get to the nails!
Here is what I used:
This weekend for the Nail Crazies Unite challenge, we’re all posting our blue and white manicures. We don’t have much snow where I live, but it’s still super cold so the color combination is fitting for the weather haha. But, that still doesn’t change the fact that I’m over painting winter manicures. So, I decided to go for a more abstract pattern. These little tumblers, that were shown on the Edible Garden blog, are really pretty so I used them as my inspiration.
- Start by applying three coats of Bed Of Snow Flakies.
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the pattern. I found it easiest to paint on the swirl parts first then go back in for the little added dashes.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
So, what do you guys think? I’m absolutely in love with how these turned out, and I’m so happy that I was able to wear these for a few days. I’ve been loving every single Anchor & Heart Lacquer polish that I’ve tried so far, and Bed Of Snow Flakies is no exception. The silver flakie bits play so well in the white base and with the blue nail art over top. But, enough of me rambling. Leave me a comment down below with your thoughts. I’d love to hear them!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Check back later for some more nail art (:
