Good evening lovelies! We made it through Wednesday, which means that we’re more than halfway to the weekend. Woo! I’m going to try and keep this post on the shorter side since it’s late. But, last Friday everyone taking part in the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge shared their blue floral manicures. So, here is mine!
Here is what I used:
You would think that when a challenge calls for a specific color, that would become the main focus of the manicure. But yeah, no. Wasn’t feeling it haha. After last week’s Digit-al Dozen theme, which called for black nails, I’m in the mood to use whatever color I want. Plus, I had just happened to be scrolling through antiquefabric.com (because you know, it’s like the best thing ever) and came across this fabric. The little blue flowers against the red base caught my eye, and from that moment on it was only a matter of time before it ended up on my nails. Also, that last sentence might just be the corniest thing that I’ve ever written…I’m so sorry haha.
- Start by applying two coats of Big Apple Of My Eye.
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the floral pattern. I laid down the entire pattern with white paint and then went back in with the colors.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
If you’ve read this blog before, chances are you’re aware that florals are my favorite things to paint. So, this look is an absolute win in my books! The pattern is a bit more scarce than I usually do, but it really just allows for the gorgeous sparkle of Big Apple Of My Eye to shine through. Overall, I’m super pleased. Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts though!
