Oh hello again! I feel like I end up prefacing every week with this “disclaimer,” but there is going to be quite a bit of double posting happening this week. I missed out on a lot of challenge posts last week, and I want to get caught up again so yeah. As always, this just means that you guys get to read my lovely rambling while enjoying some neat nail art! My rambling is probably annoying, but hopefully the photos make up for it. Anyways! I have some *belated* Valentine’s art to share. So, let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
Valentine’s day has passed, but no one said that you can’t wear hearts on your nails year round! Plus, this look strays away from the traditional pinks and reds of that holiday. So, I’m going to say do whatever floats your boat. If you want to wear a heart manicure on a day other than Valentine’s day, go for it! This particular version was inspired by this card from Papertrey Ink Forum.
- Start by applying two (or three) coats of McAlester (press sample.)
- Then add a layer of Blast Off over top.
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint (white paint not pictured) and a detail brush to add on the hearts.
- Go back in with black paint and a dotting tool for the polka dots.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
And that’s a wrap! I think I have one more semi-Valentine’s day related manicure to share with you guys, but I’m not totally sure. After all of the Christmas, New Years Eve, winter and Valentine’s day manicures over the past couple of months, I’m excited for a break from all of the themed posts. Holiday nail art can be fun, but I also love just painting whatever the heck I want on my nails haha. But, let me know what you think! Leave me a comment down below (:
Thank you guys for reading! See you tomorrow!
