Hello again guys! Today is the first day of October! This is one of the months that everyone in the nail polish community seems to get super excited over, because it means it’s time for Halloween nail art. I usually suck (really badly) at remembering to do “holiday” nail art, but no more! I decided to join the Challenge Your Nail Art Halloween challenge (at least I think that’s what it’s called.) This means that I’ll be posting Halloween-y / seasonal nail art every other day until the thirty-first! We’re kicking the month off with some black nails, so let’s get to the polish!
Here is what I used:
Boom! Nail art so subtle that you can’t even really see it! Meh haha. My inspiration for this look was this face painting that I believe is from Yeltzin.com (even though that site doesn’t exist…)
- Start with two coats of Burning Rain Of Death.
- Apply a layer of Hocus Pocus.
- Once that’s dry, use a detail brush and acrylic paint to add on the swirls.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
So, clearly these nails didn’t turn out like I was expecting but I still like them! They definitely looked better in person. But, black nails always makes me feel like a badass, so they’re cool haha. If I were to attempt this design again, I would topcoat before painting the swirl design so that way the acrylic paint stayed matte. The matte design would probably photograph better too. Anyways! What do you guys think? Are you guys ready for a month full of spooky nail art? Hopefully, I can help out when it comes time to decide on your Halloween manicure!
Thank you guys for reading! Make sure to check the inLinkz for some more nail art!
