Hello lovelies and happy Monday! Yep. It’s Monday, and I’m actually okay with because I have today off from work haha. Actually when this post goes live, I’ll be out doing some exploring. But, back to the nails. I totally fell off the blogging bandwagon at the end of last week, so I took a few days for myself and now I’m back! I have one more black nail art look to share with you guys for The Digit-al Dozen, so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
I have to admit that I’m a little bummed about all of my looks for this month’s theme. Pretty much every design was just a simple, one color pattern over a sparkly base. Which is fine! I have nothing against simple nail art, but I like to try and push myself to try different things during Digit-al Dozen weeks and I don’t feel like I did that this time. It was mostly my fault since I greatly mismanaged my time and painted all of the nail art the night before it was due. But meh. I do actually really like how these turned out, so there’s that. The print was inspired by this pattern by Ana Kraš.
- Start by applying three coats of Before The Storm.
- Once the base is dry, use black acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the pattern.
- Clean up.
- Top everything with a coat of Tonic Topper.
I didn’t type the paragraph above looking for sympathy, but I’d love to know your thoughts. Taking a few days of not painting my nails and avoiding blogging helped motivate me again though. So, expect to see some fun stuff on the blog over the next couple of days! Next month’s theme for the Digit-al Dozen is a good one, so my goal is to redeem myself then. Any guesses on what it might be?
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Check back later for some more nail art!
