Happy hump day, my loves! We’re halfway through the work week and I’m so stoked about it. Yesterday seriously felt like it dragged on forever, so hopefully today won’t be the same haha. Anyways, you guys are here for the nail art. So, let’s get to the birds!
Here is what I used:
Yep, you read that correctly. Birds. That’s the theme for this week’s 30 Days Of Colour Challenge post. It’s definitely kind of an odd one, but I just like to think of it as us playing tribute to Alfred Hitchcock! I actually didn’t think of that connection until I was writing this post, but now I’m wishing that I had some darker themed nails. Meh haha! I’ll have to remember that one for this Halloween. Anyways! This illustration by Oiseaux was the inspiration for what I did end up painting.
- Start by applying three coats of Aspen.
- Then add a layer of She’s Snowflakey on top.
- Once the base is dry, add on the birds with acrylic paint and a detail brush.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
And that’s a wrap! What do you guys think? This design looks super simple, but I was seriously so nervous to paint these haha. Painting outlines is so nerve-racking to me, because I never want the lines to be too thick or shaky. Does anyone else feel that way? Or am I just crazy? Anyways, I think I did okay here. The line work isn’t as thin as I would have liked, but it helps the bird shapes stand out against the glitter in the base. So, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! I’ll all I have for you guys today, but make sure to check back tomorrow for more nail art!
