Hello again! I talked in my earlier post about falling off the blogging bandwagon last week, so you guys probably realized that I never finished the Digit-al Dozen theme. Luckily, I was able to get my remaining manicures done so now I can finish out the week! Better late than never, right? Maybe? Anyways, let’s get to the art!
Here is what I used:
Last week, I stated that my plan for this art theme was to focus on abstract designs and I’m happy to stay that I actually stuck to my plan for once haha. I was a little nervous that all five manicures would look similar. But, this look uses that same distressed technique that I used for my first art design, and yet the two designs differ so much! The colors are different obviously, but it’s amazing the effects you can achieve with just switching out the brush that you use. This time around I was inspired by this painting by Casey Langteau!
- Start by applying three coats of Blu.
- Then using the distressed brush technique, add on Kristen, Rocky and Breezi.
- Once that is dry, use a makeup sponge to dab on Twilight Twinkles.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
And, that’s a wrap! This was one of my favorite looks from the week because of the color scheme. The cool blues paired with the gold looked so pretty! I love that the flakies have a little holo flash to them too. Twilight Twinkles doesn’t get enough love from me, and I really need to change that because it’s a lovely polish. Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to check out what the other ladies (who are much better at managing their time) did below!
