Guess who’s back! Me! Yeah, I totally didn’t mean to disappear for a week….but I forgot to mention that I was going away on vacation (you would have known if you follow me on Instagram though *wink wink*) and didn’t have time to schedule any posts. I’m feeling a little scattered brain with blogging things right now, because I don’t have my planner with me. So bear with me this week while I try and get myself back together haha. I *should* (keyword haha) be heading back to my place today, and then we’ll be good (:

Anywho, enough rambling! Onto the nails!

2. Once your base is dry, dab on random blobs of pink on your nail.

3. Use the fluffy brush dipped in acetone to swirl the colors around.

4. Add a layer of Knot-Knot (swatches here.)

5. When that is dry, use a striping brush and acrylic paint (not pictured) to paint on the tribal design.

6. Clean up.

7. Add a layer of Glossy Glam.

I’ll also count these as celebration nails, because August 15th marked my two years of blogging! I kind of forgot about it, because of the whole rebranding thing, but I still can’t believe it’s been two years since I started Hey, Darling Polish! I want to have a giveaway eventually to celebrate but I wasn’t sure if I should celebrate my two years of blogging, the date when Polish Those Nails was born (which is in September,) or the date that I actually started blogging as Polish Those Nails (that’s in May.) I think right now, I’m leaning more towards the date in May only because I just found out that my poor, old car is finally on its way out. ): My mechanic says that it’ll make it through this winter, but not much longer, so saving up for a new car is priority now…..but who knows! I’m just going to wing it haha! This last paragraph went from Yay! to Nay! in about point five seconds, so everyone remember to smile! (:

  • I have yet to do a tribal manicure but I have one coming up for a challenge starting in October. This is a great one for me to take inspiration from and get an idea on how to do it. I greatly appreciate your step by step walk through for this. I dont feel quite as intimidated now.

    • Aww yay! I have faith that you’ll do awesome and knock your tribal manicure out of the park (: Also, I think we’re doing the same challenge. If so, yay for challenge buddies haha!

      • Would it be the new challenge set up by the Crumpet? I’m doing every other week with colors and patterns. Some of them look extremely challenging. Like Flakie tie-dye. No idea how Im going to pull that one off.

  • I haven’t done a tribal design in years, these look so beautiful!

  • Lothwen Akira

Awesome! Love love love the colours and the design.

  • The pink base looks so good!

  • Fun tribal design!

  • Color Me So Crazy

This is awesome! I love pink anything this transitional season. This also reminds me that I totally forgot about this challenge. I’m not sure I’m up to starting a new one, again but I sure did forget about it

  • Shawna Harrold

    This tribal is fantastic!!!

  • Nichole C

I think it might be impossible to go wrong with pinks

  • White makes such a contrast against the hot pink base, I love that choice!
