Hello lovelies!
So, that whole introduction yesterday about how this week should be better than the last couple? Yeah, no, not really. There’s a lot of stuff that needs to get done but I’ve got coffee, so I’ll make it! Woo!
Onto the nails!

At least my first attempt at free-handing a houndstooth pattern turned out pretty good (:

Here’s what I used:

I actually have no idea what a “houndstooth” pattern actually is or where it originated, but I do know that the name makes no sense to me. So, there’s that. I used these tutorials as my guide.

These nails started with three coats of Darcy, which I allowed to dry. I then randomly dabbed Thandie around my nails and used a brush dipped in acetone to spread the color. This was topped with a coat of Glossy Glam. I then used my detail brush and acrylic paint to add on the houndstooth pattern. Everything was sealed in with another layer of Glossy Glam.

These are definitely not something that I would normally wear but the pattern is pretty cool! I definitely think with some practice that I could totally “nail” this houndstooth design (;
Thanks for reading guys!
-Marisa! (:
