Happy Friday! I have today off from work, and all I plan to do is get my phone fixed and then have a nail art day! I’m hoping to get ahead on some posts for this 31 Day Challenge because I only tomorrow’s done at this point. Whoops.
Anyways, onto the nails!
I can finally show you guys my New Years Eve manicure! I couldn’t resist using a bunch of glitters because well, I like sparkles (:
Here’s what I used:
I haven’t done a tape manicure in I don’t know how long and all I can say is, “how did I ever like doing this?” Getting the Nail Vinyls to line up straight was one of the most frustrating things. Ever. I decided to go for irregularly, spaced stripes because I gave up on trying to get them laid out perfectly.
These nails started with three coats of Rhythm And Blues and a layer of HK Girl. I used different sized, straight Nail Vinyls to mark off some of the glitter. When all my vinyls were pressed done, I added a coat of Ryan over them and making sure to peel the vinyls off before the polish dried. I let the stripes dry for a bit before I used a makeup sponge to add on the gradient of Dancing Fireflies. Everything was sealed in with another layer of HK Girl.
I seriously loved these nails so much! They sparkled in the lights at the bar on New Years and they still looked awesome the next day when I had to work haha. I think that might be my new measurement on “manicure successful-ness.” Who knows, maybe, I don’t know haha!
Thanks for reading guys!
