Ello!

I’m back with another post! Why? Because I joined another challenge! I already participate in like a million, so why not make it a million and one? 😀 But seriously! I’m horrible about posting holiday and “seasonally appropriate” nail art, so I figured I’d join a challenge that will help me get some holiday themed looks done for you guys. The Challenge Your Nail Art group is doing Christmas themed designs this month, so I picked that one to join.

Let’s get to the nails!

Here’s what I used:

Since you can’t have a snow day without snow, I decided to paint snowflakes on my nails! Logic can be fun 😛 These nails are my recreation of this pattern by Nata Dvoretskaya!

  1. Start by applying three coats of Ellie.
  2. Then using a detail brush and acrylic paint, add on the snowflakes.
  3. Clean up.
  4. Add a layer of Glossy Glam.

I’m really loving how these turned out! It’s not the most traditional snowflake look, but different is good in my books (: What do you guys think, is this something that you would wear?

Hello lovelies!

Who’s ready for a Blogger Takeover post? I hope you all raised your hand, nodded your head, or did those two actions simultaneously because you’re getting one anyways 😛 Also, didn’t realize how hard it was to spell simultaneously……this is what I get for trying to use big words…..anywho! Today I’m featuring Katie from Lustrous LacquerKatie always posts these beautiful stamping manicures (that make me totally jealous, because I can’t stamp haha….meh,) and I was so glad to see that she’ll be sharing one with you guys today. So, let’s get to the nails!

Hi everyone it’s Katie from Lustrous Lacquer here for my turn at the blogger take over. I’m excited to share some nail art with you today and I hope it lives up to the standards your used to from Marisa. I wish I had some fancy free hand art to share but this sparkly stamped splatter manicure was a lot of fun to wear.

I used KBShimmer Run it’s the Coppers as my main color and Tempest on the accent nail.

For the splatter image I used Bundle Monster Plate BM-416. As you can see Tempest did a wonderful job stamping, Run it’s the Copper worked but didn’t show up quite as well as Id hoped. Depending on the lighting I could see flashes of holo on the accent nail and almost make out the pattern. I have a feeling it would should up better on a different color. I’ll have to test that on another day.

Over all I really like the contrast of the bright sparkly holo and the rich dark creme. What do you think? A big thanks to Marisa for letting me take over her blog today and share my nail art. I hope you liked the look and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Happy Polishing!
