Hello!

Look who’s back with another post (as usual, right?) I’ve been slacking on my blogging this month, so I’m a bit behind on challenge manicures which means that the next couple of days *should* be jam packed with posts and cool nails! Like today! Because it’s the last day to post a neon manicure for the Hobby Polish Bloggers‘ link up and I wouldn’t dare miss one of these.

So, enough talking. Onto the nails!

neon-pink-distressed-geometric-nail-art-bottle-shotI know what you’re thinking, “the Parallax Polish neons again! This is like your third post this week that they’re in. Hashtag ugh!” Okay, maybe, not hashtag ugh haha, but oh well. The theme was neon, and these were on my desk so the choice was obvious. You can check out this post for swatches and this one for more nail art!

2. Then using the distressed brushstroke technique, add on the other polishes.

3. Once your base is dry, use a detail brush and acrylic paint to add on the geometric shapes.

4. Clean up.

5. Add a layer of Glossy Glam.

Not quite sure why there are cupcakes included in there…..weird) was my original inspiration for these nails. But, I realized that I didn’t have any make up sponges to create a softer background so I improvised. I’m still pretty stoked about how they came out!

Also, I recently bought myself a macro lens for my phone. So, now I can take close ups of my nails to share with you all because I know that’s exactly what you all wanted! Christmas came early, woo! Bear with me though while I try and figure this thing out haha. I’m naturally a pretty shaky person, and combining that with a lot of coffee and a lack of sleep makes it really hard to hold steady. For this being one of the first photos I took with it, I’m happy!

polish those nails, blogger takeover

Hello lovelies!

Can you believe that it’s already time for another Blogger Takeover post?! Where has this week gone? Man haha. Anywho, today Sarah from Partly Cloudy With a Chance of Lacquer will be sharing her nails with you all! Sarah’s always been such a sweetheart and her nail art is awesome, so I knew I had to ask her to participate in the series. Enough of me blabbing though!

Hello! I’m Sarah from Partly Cloudy With a Chance of Lacquer! I was so honored when Marisa asked me to participate in the Blogger Takeover series, because I’ve never done a guest post before!

If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time you know I’m a big fan of the Florida Gators. Every football season since 2012, I have put together a different orange and blue nail art look for each week of the college football season. Since next weekend is the first week of the season, I thought I would create some of my signature orange and blue nail art to share with you!

For this mani, I started with Parallax Polish Bryant as my base. I chose this polish specifically because Bryant is the polish inspired by the University of Florida from Parallax Polish’s SeCience Collection. Bryant is described as a deep blue with orange shimmer. I finished this mani off by creating a dotted gradient using China Glaze Stoked to be Soaked and White on White.

Do you like to do nail art for your favorite sports teams? Thanks again to Marisa for inviting me to join in on the fun!
